Overview

Argentina is malaria-free. Yellow fever only concerns a small area in the northeast (Misiones, Corrientes, the Iguazú Falls), where overall risk stays very low to absent. In the Andean northwest, altitude is the local point to plan for.

Dengue

Zika
Zika is present, relevant mainly if you are or may become pregnant.
Chagas disease
Chagas disease occurs; avoid sleeping in poorly built rural housing.
Altitude sickness
Altitude sickness is possible above about 2,500 m, notably in the Andean northwest.
Rabies
Rabies is present in dogs and other mammals; avoid contact and seek care after a bite.
Tick-bite fever
Ticks can transmit disease; cover up and check for ticks after outdoor activity.
Tuberculosis
